A major housing association in Glasgow contracted our services to test, service, and maintain height safety systems across their diverse property portfolio of 51 commercial and residential buildings. Our works encompassed approximately 120-130 assets, including ladders, horizontal line systems, and edge protection from various manufacturers and installation periods. Our Engineers completed all required works within a swift 10-day time frame, followed shortly by a comprehensive inspection report within 5 working days, meeting the contract’s key performance indicators.

To ensure that the testing was carried out without issue our operations team utilised proactive communication and meticulous preparation to keep everything running smoothly. Our operations team contacted the site contacts prior to services to ensure seamless our team were on-site and testing before the systems expire. To improve operational efficiency a dedicated contract manager served as the primary point of contact to ensure the testing was performed without issue. As a result of this diligent management the compliance checks were conducted on the inspection day, ensuring a robust approach to safety and regulatory adherence.
The scheduling and execution of the testing across these 51 sites was works was administratively intensive, demanding precise coordination and thorough documentation. Following the testing, our team identified non-conforming assets which were either corrected or replaced to meet the latest BS 7883:2019 standards.
